CULTURE

The natives of Canada are Native Americans. There are about 300,000 Indians living in Canada, and so a lot in Ontario. Of all 32 million inhabitants of Canada is about 90% immigrant or a child thereof, therefore there are a lot of cultures. 25% is English and 24% French, which together forms almost half of all the inhabitants of Canada, therefore Canada also has two official languages, namely French and English. French, as spoken in Canada, is not comparable to French from France. Canadian French is very influenced by English, creating an accent that is also called ' Franglais '. Both French and British will have difficulty in understanding this accent. The English spoken in Canada is also different from the English language of the UK and the United States. When a Canadian speaks English this is well recognizable by the accent. The writing method, on the other hand, seems very much like English, as they use it in Britain. There are still quite a lot of Germans, Italians and Dutchmen living there. Together also about 10% of the population.
